Resort Entry Permits are required for all cars stopping in a Victorian Alpine Resort during the designated snow season. If you drive, there is free parking for team members available at the Mirimbah staff car park (vehicles without special permits are not allowed to park at the resort). If parking here, upon arrival at Mt Buller you are required to register your vehicle at the gate and be issued with a staff pass that must be displayed on your dashboard.

Team members who are arriving prior to the opening of Mirimbah resort entry (tentatively Friday of Queen’s Birthday Weekend, June) or have parked their vehicle prior to opening are required to visit the Resort Management Board (RMB) to register their vehicle. The RMB offices are located in Alpine Central in the Mt Buller Village. If you have never parked in these car parks before, please ask the staff at the gate for directions when receiving your dashboard pass.

Mobile coverage can be a bit patchy in the mountains, no matter which network you’re on, but most major Telcos have coverage in the Alpine area. For international team members, International SIM cards are available online or at the airport, or “pay as you go plans” and SIMs with specific Telcos are also available (and generally a bit cheaper than the pre-paid international ones). Either way, these things are better sorted in the larger cities prior to your arrival on the mountain.

There is no shortage of options for purchasing equipment once you arrive at Mt Buller. BSL Retail outlets offer staff discounts on a wide range of equipment. As a BSL employee you receive a 10% discount at all BSL owned food outlets during the season. BSL hosts a number of events during the season. Check out the Events page on the Mt Buller website for more details.
